The year is 2123, and the effects of climate change are disastrous. Much of the world’s landmass is now undersea level with dozens of island nations completely submerged. On top of this, the overuse of natural resources during the previous three centuries has caused a shortage of most man-made products. This committee has brought together members of political, scientific, corporate, and activist organizations to solve these issues and others in a more holistic manner than past attempts. This committee may be able to combat these issues and set humanity back on track to once again thrive on Earth or perhaps is there another solution? Good luck delegates!
About your director:
Hi! My name is Logan Wax, and I am a second-year student at the University of Florida,
majoring in Mathematics and Statistics and minoring in Music Theory. I have been
involved in MUN since I was a sophomore in high school, and I compete on UF's MUN
team. One of my favorite things to do in my free time is read, especially sci-fi and other
fiction novels. Because of this interest, I made this committee to explore a sci-fi style
future scenario revolving around the possible effects of climate change. I hope that I can
make this conference an enjoyable experience for all of you, and I can’t wait to see you
all in November!
